**Pattern Name:** Jump Paradigm
**Introduction:** It is the theory (worldview) that determines what can be observed. *Adapted from Albert Einstein*

**CONTEXT:**
One is always at risk of trying to solve problems in the space where one is comfortable, the space that one knows--instead of where the problem, or it's solution, actually lies.
Sometimes, trying harder, more expertise, and more perspectives fail to reveal a way forward.
Dave Snowden's Cynefin framework goes a long way in helping us locate our problems in problem solution space. However, to my reading, scaping worldviews--jumpaing paradigms--is not explicitly covered, though it could fit under his chaotic problem space.
**PROBLEM:** **We often find ourselves hopelessly stuck (limited) when trying to solve a problem, escape intractable conflict, or deal with apparent paradox.**
**Forces:**
* Unsolvable problem--resignation, resentment, anxiety
* Insufficient experience
* Urgency or impatience
* Ideological stance
* Deep curiosity
